SUMMARY:MWR&BC Proudly Presents Remi Harris & Roger Keenan The Travelling Riverside Blues Show...
DESCRIPTION:Travelling Riverside Blues Show…\n \nJoin two fine blues musicians and enjoy an evening listening to the sounds and tales of the Mississippi. \nThe simple sound of acoustic guitar and vocal brings the Delta to life\, celebrating the power and energy of the bluesmen who created the musical legend. \nThis early raw style – just traditional guitar and vocal – formed the foundation of modern blues music. This show weaves a story of hopes and dreams\, hardship and poverty through soulful and passionate music\, along with tales bringing those times and people to life. Sit back and enjoy The Travelling Riverside Blues Show on a journey through the Delta. \nRemi Harris is a Jazz & Blues / Rock guitarist from the UK whose playing draws inspiration from artists such as Django Reinhardt\, Peter Green\, Wes Montgomery\, Robert Johnson. \nFrom the age of seven he has dedicated himself to a life of guitar playing which has taken him from busking on the streets of his local towns to performing at many prestigious venues and events around the world\, including Buckingham Palace\, Montreal Jazz Festival\, BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum\, as well as appearing on national radio and television. \n“Remi Harris is one of the great guitarists we have in this country\, an absolutely extraordinary musician” Jamie Cullum\, BBC Radio 2 \n“A brilliant guitar player” Cerys Matthews\, BBC Radio 2 & BBC 6 Music \n“Brilliant!!!! Your playing is spectacular.” Peter Frampton \nRoger Keenan is a seasoned vocalist who has his roots firmly anchored in the blues. This is the blues of not just the Delta\, Chicago\, and elsewhere in the USA but also the blues of Ealing\, Dartford and wherever else formed the British Blues Boom of the 60’s and beyond. \nFrom playing in the vibrant music scene of the late 1960s to performing in Shrewsbury Abbey or Weston Park Hall\, Roger has always stayed true to his roots – the Blues. “Charismatic vocalist Roger Keenan commanded the stage throughout\, his voice rich and soulful\, guiding the crowd through classics like ‘The Thrill has Gone’” The Edge Arts Centre “Roger led the way… seamlessly weaving narratives with soulful performances. \nRoger’s vocal delivery was impeccable\, perfectly capturing the raw emotion and depth of the genre.” Cube Theatre Malvern \nTHE MUSE BRECON \nDoors 7.30pm / showtime 8pm \nSGA KRD \nThree local lads playing the blues… (You might recognise the host of the club) \nTimings Doors 7.30pm / showtime 8pm ish with KRD followed by Remi & Roger  \nPA run by club member Graham Strangward  \nhttps://www.remiharris.com/ \nFor more details please PM me via the links below… \nAngus Kings 0786 6000 596 \n www.midwalesrandb.club \n angus@midwalesrandb.club \n https://www.facebook.com/midwalesrhythmandblues \n https://www.instagram.com/themidwalesrandb/ \n https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/mwrbc
